What would make a good Mother’s Day gift? THIS. It’s really simple – you print out whatever image you want on fabric transfer paper (tee shirt transfer paper – I like Avery) and iron it on cotton fabric – from totes to tee shirts. The ones I did on tee shirts lasted dozens of washes and held their color (and did not get weird and crackly).
I also made a wedding shower gift for my best friend using scanned photos and memorabilia that were special to her, and assembled them into a very simple quilt.
You can use transfer paper to make pillows of your pets, friends’ pets, mother’s pets etc… This is also something my mother would actually like to receive on Mother’s Day. Find the DIY here from The Band Wife here.
